Cookie Policy

LotLoop uses a small number of necessary cookies to keep the site secure and working, and — only if you allow it — privacy-friendly website analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it. Nothing optional is set until you choose.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are always in use, because LotLoop cannot run securely without them. They are not subject to consent under UK cookie rules, and they are unaffected by the choice below. They support:
- website and account security, and protecting against abuse;
- signing in, keeping you signed in and ending a session, including multi-factor authentication and password reset;
- account functionality — your profile, business identity and verification status;
- marketplace functionality — listing, buying, selling, wanted requests, transport requests and messages on an order;
- checkout and payment state where applicable, so an order in progress is not lost.
Most are set by Supabase, LotLoop's account and authentication provider, and by Stripe on the payment pages Stripe itself serves.
Website analytics
LotLoop uses Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel Inc., and only if you choose Allow cookies. It counts page views and visits so LotLoop can see which parts of the public website people use and where they get stuck. If you choose Only necessary, or have not chosen yet, it is not loaded at all and nothing is sent to it.
It is not used for advertising, retargeting, cross-site tracking or building marketing profiles, and visitor data is not sold. LotLoop sets no advertising or marketing cookies of any kind.
Even when analytics is allowed, it is limited to the public website. The signed-in parts of LotLoop — your account, dashboard, orders, enquiries, purchases and the admin tools — send no analytics events, and neither do the sign-in, sign-up, password-reset and email confirmation pages. Web addresses are stripped of everything except a short list of public catalogue filters before they are sent, so references, order numbers, payment identifiers, email addresses and one-time links in a link you followed are not passed on.
Your cookie choice
You are asked once, on your first visit, and you can change your answer here at any time. Switching to Only necessary stops analytics immediately for the rest of your visit and for future ones; switching back allows it again.
The answer is remembered in a first-party cookie named lotloop_cookie_preference, which holds only the word all or necessary and lasts 180 days. It contains no account identifier, no email address and nothing that identifies you. If you clear it, LotLoop asks again on your next visit.
Optional cookies
Website analytics, described above, is the only optional technology LotLoop currently uses. If any other is introduced, this page will name the provider, purpose and duration, and it will be off until you allow it in the same way.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, in addition to the choice above. Doing so may affect your ability to stay signed in to LotLoop.
