LotLoop legal
Marketplace Terms
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These terms govern business use of the LotLoop managed equipment marketplace. They must be reviewed by a UK solicitor before commercial launch.
1. Business users only
LotLoop is intended for people acting wholly or mainly for business purposes. A user must have authority to act for the named business and must provide accurate information.
2. LotLoop's role
Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, LotLoop introduces potential business buyers and sellers. The seller—not LotLoop—owns and supplies the equipment. Publication is not a valuation, guarantee, technical inspection or endorsement.
3. Seller obligations
- Hold legal title or documented authority to sell.
- Disclose finance, liens, retention-of-title claims and related-party interests.
- Describe condition, defects, safety information, VAT and included items accurately.
- Keep the listing current and notify LotLoop if equipment becomes unavailable.
- Comply with legal duties applying to equipment supplied for use at work.
4. Buyer obligations
- Complete appropriate technical, ownership and commercial due diligence.
- Inspect equipment where condition or suitability is material.
- Confirm VAT, payment, risk, title, removal and transport terms in the sale agreement.
- Do not rely on a badge beyond the check that badge specifically describes.
5. Offers and contracts
An enquiry or offer submitted through LotLoop is not automatically accepted. The seller and buyer must agree a written sale contract. LotLoop does not currently provide escrow or hold marketplace funds.
6. Fees
Any fee or commission must be disclosed before the relevant seller or buyer commits. The pre-launch marketplace makes no automatic charge through this website.
7. Transport
A transport request is not a booking. The appointed transport provider's identity, quote, insurance, exclusions and terms must be confirmed before collection.
8. Suspension and reporting
LotLoop may pause, reject or remove listings and accounts where information is incomplete, misleading, unsafe, unlawful or inconsistent with these terms.
9. Liability and disputes
Liability wording, governing law, complaint handling and any limitations must be finalised by LotLoop's solicitor in the signed launch version.
